My wife Summer and I have been blessed with two perfect little humans – Berkeley and Vandalia.

Both times Summer was pregnant, I learned a lot about the miracle of conception and life. I learned at just 6 DAYS after conception, the gender of our babies were already able to be detected. And at our first ultrasound (at 6 WEEKS) our babies already had strong heartbeats. Each week, we would read an update about our baby on a phone app and it was always amazing to read how they had developed over the previous week. Watching both of my children come into this world and take their first breaths was the most beautiful experience.

It is an undeniable fact that life is a precious and sacred gift – and it must be protected.

As your State Senator, I have and will continue to do everything in my power to protect life – from conception until natural death.
